Without This Flesh

Lay your body down
upon the heaving ground
Amidst broken glass and stone
that cut straight to bone
Tongue of fire
Spitting venom
Burning everyone
Scorching the terrain
Setting flames upon the ground
Trying to smother the raging sound
Of voices in your head
They shout and sneer
Nothing is clear
All crumbles down
Flowers will grow from our bodies
Will blossom
in the memories of dreams
once dreamt
Will bloom against the humid backdrop
of lush green hills
We will meet again,
maybe not in this form
Without this flesh
our spirits will dance
The sky is streaked with red
At the horizon awaits death with one question
"How will you spend your final days?"
Time is running out
soon the grave will take us all
Blanket made of soil
Lifelessness will soon decay
Leaving only bone
and finally dust
We will meet again only not in this form
Lay your body down upon the heaving ground
Soon the pain will be gone
Take my hand as you fade away

Offer to the fire
This seemingly endless pain
From the depths of the cavern
Where nightmare creatures gnaw on flesh
Ugly writhing thing, no light have you seen
Not alive, not dead
Purify, transform
Hold onto the light
